Zenkaikon announces C.J. Henderson, room block, and Philadelphia Sakura Sunday

VALLEY FORGE, PENNSYLVANIA -- March 17, 2009: Due to his enormous popularity at Zenkaikon 2008, the staff of Zenkaikon is pleased to announce that award-winning science fiction author C. J. Henderson will be returning for the 2009 convention. In addition, the staff is announcing the first ever Zenkaikon hotel room block at the Radisson Valley Forge, and Zenkaikon-sponsored activities at the Philadelphia Cherry Blossom Festival's Sakura Sunday.

About C.J. Henderson:

C.J. Henderson is the Origins Award-winning creator of the Teddy London supernatural detective series, as well as the author of over 50 books and novels, including such diverse titles as "The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction Films", "The Field Guide to Monsters", and "Baby's First Mythos." Over the past 30 years, he has also written hundreds of short stories and comics, as well as thousands of non-fiction articles. With his work now translated into a dozen different languages, and his fame circling the globe, you would think this mighty literary figure would sit back on his laurels and simply bask in the sun. Instead, he fills his days searching the streets for pennies and dreaming of platters filled with bacon. Attendees are invited to meet this truly unusual personality during Zenkaikon 2009.

About Zenkaikon:

Zenkaikon was formed by the merger of the anime and science fiction convention Zentrancon and the anime convention Kosaikon, both in the Philadelphia area. In 2006, they put on their first event, which was a tremendous success. Zenkaikon will return for its fourth installment on November 7 and 8, 2009, moving into the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge. The convention will feature two days of programming with dealers, artists, panels, performances, gaming, and more. The Zenkaikon staff wishes to thank the many attendees who made the 2008 event such a huge success. They hope to see this trend continue in 2009, and are actively anticipating expansion with larger performance and panel areas, dealer space, and video game rooms.
