T-MODE to give away free passes to Death Note movie
Viz Pictures teams up with T-MODE to give away Death Note tickets in the Arlington, VA areaArlington, VA (May 10, 2008) -- T-MODE is working with Viz Pictures to give away three pairs of tickets to the live-action theatrical screening of Death Note. The English-dubbed adaptation of the popular manga title is limited to select theaters nationwide and for two nights only. This exclusive event features a special 20-minute production about Death Note's transformation from manga to live-action film, and includes the first-ever interview with Director Shusuke Kaneko.
Based on the hit supernatural action-mystery manga written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows the story of an ace student who finds the "Death Note," a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. After learning that the notebook has the power to kill, the student decides to rid the world of evil, but his goal is challenged once authorities bring in a legendary detective to investigate the mysterious deaths of criminals. Pre-Registered attendees of T-MODE '08 will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to see the film on May 21st. The screening will be at the Ballston Commons 12 theater in Arlington, VA at 7:30 PM. Individuals who pre-register by May 14, 2008 will be eligible for the drawing.
