T.M. Revolution will perform at New York Comic Con 2008

Norwalk, CT, February 11, 2008: The New York Comic Con (NYCC) today officially revealed its latest Guest of Honor -- Japanese pop star T.M.Revolution. The news first broke late last week in the Japanese press and on MediumAtLarge.net, New York Comic Con's official blog. T.M.Revolution, a powerful voice in the Japanese musical world, is known around the world for "INVOKE," the theme song to the anime series Gundam SEED, "Ignited," the theme to its sequel, Gundam SEED Destiny, and "Heart of Sword," the ending theme to the anime Rurouni Kenshin. He will soon also be known for the theme song to Soul Eater, an upcoming anime series which will premiere early this April in Japan. T.M.Revolution's New York Comic Con performance -- April 19, 2008 -- is his first concert in the United States since 2004 -- and first ever in New York City.

T.M.Revolution's concert will take place in New York Comic Con's 3,000-seat IGN Theater, a venue which will also feature previews and premieres of this summer's biggest films (including New Line Cinema's Harold & Kumar Escape From Guatanamo Bay) and panels spotlighting NYCC's Guests of Honor (including Mike Mignola, Alex Ross, and Bryan Hitch).

"I've received invitations to perform across America, Europe, Asia, and all around the world, and I appreciate them all and wish I could visit my fans in every country. It's very tough to decide where to hold concerts, but I was inspired by the passion of the New York Comic Con staff and all the support they have already given me. It wasn't hard to pick New York Comic Con at all!" T.M.Revolution said. "This will be my first time performing in New York, and I'm looking at this concert as a personal new start. I want all of New York City to enjoy my music - and I hope it spreads all over the world. I'm very excited for this concert, and I hope my American fans are, too. I can't wait to see you all at New York Comic Con!"

"New York Comic Con is honored to feature T.M.Revolution as a Guest of Honor," Lance Fensterman, New York Comic Con Show Manager said. "The New York Comic Con is a showcase for America and the world's greatest popular culture, and T.M.Revolution -- the creator of some of the biggest songs in Japan -- has done so much to contribute to pop culture around the globe. He is an artist with incredible talent and passion and fans on both sides of the Pacific, and we are very eager to introduce New York Comic Con and New York City to his voice."
