AOD 2006 announces second round of guests

SAN FRANCISCO, April 28, 2006 - AOD 2006: The San Francisco Animation Convention announced today its second round of guests of honor for the upcoming August convention, including Vic Mignogna, Greg Dean, Tommy Yune, Brad DeMoss and PMBQ along with previously-announced guests Marv Wolfman, Ken Pontac and Gilles Poitras.

In addition to the many hours of guest, industry, and fan panel programming slated for AOD 2006, popular events include the CosplayOD costume contest, the VideoOD animated film festival and the DealerĂ­s Hall marketplace. About the Guests:

Vic Mignogna is a one of the most charismatic, talented and well-respected anime voice actors in the business today, having voiced Edward Elric in Fullmetal Alchemist, Broly in Dragon Ball Z and Shigeru Aoba in Neon Genesis Evangelion among many other successful and exciting roles.

Mr. Yune, also known as "Yoonie," has been working for over a decade in the animation and video game industries and is currently creative director at Harmony Gold, overseeing all things on the classic and renowned series Robotech.

Brad DeMoss is an actor, video editor, and general handyman in the world of animation, having acted in the anime Nazca, edited dozens of award-winning anime music videos and served as host and emcee at numerous conventions and events including last year's AOD.

Independent comic book artist PMBQ returns for her third AOD as one of the strongest personalities in the scene today, having succeeded with both self-publishing and merchandising of her marquee title, Tea Club.

Teen Titans co-creator Marv Wolfman, Happy Tree Friends writer Ken Pontac and Anime Essentials author Gilles Poitras all return to AOD as highly popular and exciting guests from last year.
