Anime Midwest announces LeetStreet Boys and Micah Solusod

St. Charles, IL - June 13, 2011 - Anime Midwest is delighted to announce the performance of the LeetStreet Boys and the appearance of Micah Solusod at the 2011 Chicago anime convention. Anime Midwest will be happening July 15-17, 2011 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL.

LeetStreet Boys is an anime otaku band that plays songs about their passion for anime, video games, and Japanese culture. They gained international attention in 2008 with their breakout single and music video Yuri The Only One. Widely recognized as one of the first western anime bands to gain international recognition based on being genuine, innovative otaku artists, the band continues to produce music, multimedia, and live concert performances.

Micah Solusod is the voice of Soul Eater in Soul Eater. Born in Hawaii, Micah moved to Texas to become a voice actor, and has been cast in over a dozen different anime series. He is Malek Yildrim Werner in Blassreiter, Tsutomu in Birdy the Mighty: Decode, Haruki Hishida in Rideback, Hiroshige Ushijima in Corpse Princess, among many other roles.

Registration for Anime Midwest is only $25 online until June 20th, far less than many other local anime conventions. Anime Midwest features several more awesome guests, including GLaDOS from Portal and Goku from Dragon Ball Z. Events include a formal cosplay ball (with professional lessons), video game tournaments, anime screenings, contests, workshops, panels, discussions, and much more.

Anime Midwest will be held at the Pheasant Run Resort, one of the largest convention and expo centers in the Chicago area. Pheasant Run Resort can be reached by public transit from downtown Chicago, and rooms start at only $99 per night.
