Japanese pop idol Halko Momoi will return to San Jose for FanimeCon 2010

San Jose, CA (March 25, 2010) - FanimeCon, Northern California's largest anime convention, is pleased to announce Japanese Pop Idol Halko Momoi as a Guest of Honor for FanimeCon 2010, which is being held at the San Jose Convention Center over Memorial Day weekend, May 28th to May 31st. Known as "Halko" to her fans, Ms. Momoi is a spectactular entertainer. Her highly energetic and interactive Musicfest concert thrilled FanimeCon 2009 attendees, some of whom came from Japan and the East coast to see her. Fans asked for her return with feedback such as "simply amazing", "dream come true", and "best weekend of my entire life".

Halko Momoi is also a musician, performer, composer, voice actress, writer, blogger, and otaku. In addition to starring in many radio shows and her own Akihaba-Love Internet video channel, Ms. Momoi performs the theme songs in many anime and video games, as well as the voices of characters such as Feiris Nyannyan in Steins;Gate, Anise Tatlin in Tales of the Abyss, Filia in Prism, Yurume Aida in Yurumates, Sun Seto in Seto no Hanayome, and Komugi in Nurse Witch Komugi. Ms. Momoi also writes columns in numerous magazines, maintains a blog, composes and produces music for herself and other artists, collaborates on albums with Japanese bands such as m.o.v.e and rap-bit, and founded label AKIHABA LOVE RECORDS. Akihabara is a major shopping area for electronic, computer, anime, and otaku goods in Tokyo, and Momoi's roots as the "Queen of Akihabara" strike a special chord with high tech Silicon Valley anime fans.
