Anime Convention with Gaming, Sci-Fi, and Video Gaming programming
SwampCon is a multi-genre convention held annually at the University of Florida. It is a free, two day convention featuring a combination of anime, tabletop and video gaming, and science fiction themed events and panels. Notable events from the past include Doctor Who-themed plays and the Hatsune Miku hologram concert. SwampCon also invites several pop culture guests to join in the festivities, hosting panels and signing autographs for everyone.
SwampCon's mission is to bring a high quality multi-genre convention for the region. SwampCon strives to create an atmosphere that is not only unique, fun and engaging but also aware of its impacts on the environment, the local economy, and the community that hosts it.
