Animethon 2007 Information
Animethon 2007
August 10-12, 2007
Grant MacEwan CollegeEdmonton, Alberta, Canada
Anime Convention
Organized by Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts
Animethon, Western Canada's largest- and longest-running event celebrating Japanese animation (also known as "anime"). Suitable for new and veteran fans of all ages, Animethon aims to provide a place for the appreciation, exploration, and education of all the facets of the anime medium, and the fan community that surrounds it.
This year Animethon will take place entirely on the MacEwan City Center Campus in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta (refer to the map on the left for the exact location). There are several changes being made to better accommodate the increasing number of attendees. Not only are we expanding our exhibition hall, gaming and artists' alley to be the biggest yet, but we will also feature a brand new 1100 capacity main events room. Accommodations for attendees will be handled by MacEwan's Residence which is located right next to the campus and therefore only minutes away.
